"Wrath of the Gods" is Historiart's companion collection to the licensed print series "Defy the Gods." This collection features original artwork inspired by Greek mythology and the myths that have shaped human culture for over three thousand years.
The collection debuts at Exhibit A Gallery in Los Angeles on July 13th alongside the licensed print series.
Stephen Andrade is an illustrator whose work sits at the intersection of pop culture and pulp culture, reimagining beloved films, television shows, and horror classics as vintage-style pulp fiction magazine covers, complete with the worn, aged look of decades-old paperbacks. His art draws inspiration from golden-age illustrators like N.C. Wyeth, H.J. Ward, and Basil Gogos, filtered through a lifelong love of horror, science fiction, and genre storytelling.
His work has been exhibited at leading pop-culture galleries including Gallery 1988, Hero Complex Gallery, and Outpost 512, and he has built a devoted following for pieces that blend nostalgia, craft, and playful reverence for the movies and monsters he grew up loving. Above all, Andrade approaches his art with a simple guiding principle: create work that brings joy — to himself first, and to everyone who sees it after.
