"Wrath of the Gods" is Historiart's companion collection to the licensed print series "Defy the Gods." This collection features original artwork inspired by Greek mythology and the myths that have shaped human culture for over three thousand years.
The collection debuts at Exhibit A Gallery in Los Angeles on July 13th alongside the licensed print series.
Since a creative epiphany at the Burning Man festival in September 2017, Manu de May enrolled at the Art Academy of Mortsel, Antwerp and started sketching and painting, something he had not done for 30 years. He did make 3D artwork on the computer some 15 years before. He taught himself to draw in 6 months and hasn't stopped drawing and painting since.
Manu lives in Antwerp with his girlfriend and 2 young adult boys. At home he has his atelier where he draws and paints figurative art, mainly portraits. With his art, he tries to create something visually striking to convey some sort of strong emotion.
Manu's art is populated with melancholic people with suppressed emotion, seeking for meaning in life.
