Giclee printing is a high-resolution digital printing process that uses fine-art inkjet technology to spray microscopic droplets of pigment-based ink onto paper or canvas. It's prized for exceptional color accuracy, smooth gradients, and fine detail, making it the standard choice for fine art reproductions and photography prints. Pigment-based inks (as opposed to dye-based) give giclee prints strong archival quality, often lasting 100+ years with proper care and UV-protective framing.
Since 2019, Historiart has collaborated with the Library Foundation of Los Angeles to create several projects that feature the Los Angeles Central Library. During the 100th anniversary in 2026, Historiart created a number of works that are displayed in the library and sold in the gift shop.
