"Wrath of the Gods" is Historiart's companion collection to the licensed print series "Defy the Gods." This collection features original artwork inspired by Greek mythology and the myths that have shaped human culture for over three thousand years.
The collection debuts at Exhibit A Gallery in Los Angeles on July 13th alongside the licensed print series.
Calvin Laituri is an illustrator, graphic designer, and printmaker based in Brattleboro, Vermont. A graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, he works across illustration, hand-lettering, murals, and printmaking, with a hands-on, detail-driven approach, favoring traditional pen-and-ink craft and screen printing alongside digital design work.
His projects range from gig posters and album art to branding and editorial illustration, with past clients and collaborations including The Raconteurs, King Arthur Baking Company, and Solidarity of Unbridled Labor. Laituri's work draws on skate and album-cover graphics as much as fine art tradition, reflecting his interest in blurring the line between "high" and "low" art. His pieces are often intricate and narrative-driven, rooted in a fascination with history, folklore, and things "long bygone."
