Historiart brings The Odyssey to Athens, opening 17 July at the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation and running through 2 August, 2026. The exhibition unites two collections in one venue — "Defy the Gods," an officially licensed print series inspired by Christopher Nolan's new theatrical adaptation of Homer's epic, and "Wrath of the Gods," a companion collection featuring original works created exclusively for Athens by Greek artists offering a personal, contemporary lens on their mythological heritage.

George Caltsoudas is a Greek illustrator best known for his work in the world of alternative film posters and art prints. George’s style is a contemporary take on gouache illustrations with a strong focus on world building and storytelling through prominent geometric shapes and an unusual harmony of both bright and muted colours. His process involves a mixture of hand drawn sketching with digital colouring and having the music on full blast, with an ice cold freddo espresso by his side.
